Dermatology Section
Established in 1940The National Medical Association (NMA) is the largest and oldest national organization representing African American physicians and their patients in the United States. The NMA is a 501(c) (3) national professional and scientific organization representing the interests of more than 50,000 African American physicians and the patients they serve.
The NMA maintains a robust and active dermatology section dating back to 1940, with a current membership of over 100 dermatologists. |
Our GoalThe NMA Dermatology section is dedicated to increasing the number of African Americans and other underrepresented groups in the field of dermatology.
Over the past several years, the NMA Dermatology section has formalized and expanded the research, mentorship, and advocacy committees, with a goal of ensuring blacks are well represented in dermatology across the board. |
